Property description
This is a lovely period apartment, with The Leas and the seafront being just beyond the homes on the opposite side of the Crescent. A short stroll along The Leas and you are parallel with the town centre and all local amenities. Likewise, walking to the train station is a breeze, for those commuting to London on a daily basis. The Old High Street and Creative Quarter are easily accessible, as is the Harbour Arm and the delights that is proving to offer those that take the time to amble along it to the Lighthouse Bar at the end. This developing coastal harbour town of Folkestone in Kent, the history, period nature and modernity are all reflected in the apartment itself, being a mirror reflection of all that is stunning about this location.
A grand communal entrance hallway accessible by a few steps up to the imposing side door entrance of this Grade II Listed building leads to the ground floor apartment entrance. The hallway is a central feature linking all of the accommodation into this nicely-flowing apartment. Bedroom space is pleasing, as is the family bathroom. There is open plan reception space, with the lounge/dining area and breakfast bar kitchen area. Sash windows to the rear give great natural lighting and views over the basement apartment garden.
What the Owner says:
We wanted to purchase an apartment that typified the whole nature of Folkestone itself and we found just what we were looking for in this lovely period building. We have made a number of improvements and modernised throughout, whilst retaining great features like the sash windows.
Our children are quickly outgrowing the apartment though so we are reluctantly moving, but it won’t be too far away. When they eventually fly from the nest, this apartment would be ideal just for the 2 of us. The location is brilliant for walking to town and just the other side of the Crescent is The Leas and the sea. We love it here!
