Property description

If you don't grab this one - we will! Resting on the top floor of a landmark 1930's development with views stretching miles yonder, this magic two bedder will wow you no end. The finish is literally picture perfect. You'll note spot-on styling, sympathetic contemporary additions and some of the nicest restored original Parquet we've ever seen! Cast iron school house radiators and double glazed Crittal windows continue to charm you silly. The kitchen, bathroom and wc are suitably well manicured. As if it weren't enough to entice you're within easy reach of all that Brixton has to offer. Streatham Hill is even closer in the other direction.

Enter the apartment block via two entry phone points. The communal gardens are well stocked and lush. Step inside the recently refurbished communal area and you meet a swanky lift which whisks you upward to the fifth floor. If you’re looking to run off your recent Franco Manca you can opt for the stairs. Your inner hall is carpeted and has two floor to ceiling recessed cupboards and neutral decor. Head left to find your bright and boastful reception donning the first of the plush Parquet - it really is a sight to behold. A splash of teal on the far wall adds some colour. There's plenty of lounging space and access to your curvaceous balcony from whence you can enjoy the loftiness and south facing aspect. Your kitchen sits next door with dishy slate flooring, sleek white cabinets topped in thick cut iroko and a four ring electric Neff ceramic hob and double oven. The washing machine, fridge and freezer are all integrated.

Next comes the bathroom with more delicious wood details under a contemporary circular wash hand basin. There's storage underneath for the lotions and potions, heated towel rail and a shower attachment over the full length bath. The fully tiled wc is a similarly handsome affair. Your first bedroom greets you with more pucker Parquet. Currently arranged as an office it will comfortably fit a double bed. The master bedroom is a good size and has spot lighting, overhead recessed storage and a full length wall of fitted wardrobes. A black feature wall offers a funky focus. The double glazing in both bedrooms is accompanied with further secondary glazing affording their occupants a peaceful night's sleep.

From here transport options abound. Brixton's Victoria Line is a 20 minute walk or 6 minutes on any one of the ubiquitous buses whizzing down the hill. You can walk to Streatham Hill in around 10 minutes for services to Victoria and beyond. Brixton's all a buzz with Windrush Square offering a marvellous place to sit, chat and drink coffee. Brixton Village covered market will keep you dining in style (and cheaply) all year round - it's got everything from Columbian to Vietnamese. Honest Burger do the best chips in the world - our waist bands can vouch for this. This is before we mention the ocean of funky bars, cafes and restaurants on offer - we love Fujiyama for some noodles and vino. The Ritzy cinema will keep any audience happy with its thoughtful mix of arthouse and mainstream titles and 'The White Horse' really rocks out on the weekend. Clapham and the ever popular Abbeville Village are a pleasurable stroll in the other direction. It'll take you the first three years to sample all the cuisine (Carmen tapas is our fave!) and you can walk it off on Clapham Common. Khamsa is within a few seconds for some fab Algerian cooking - it's getting great reviews. Clapham High Street will keep you busy whatever the weather. Balham is equally easily reached for yet more yummy delights.
