I bought the property back in 2007 when I moved down to the area. I wanted a property that wasn’t too big and I could personalise and make my own.

One of the things I liked was the spiral staircase; I made a feature out of it when I first decorated. Since moving here I have redone the bathroom, gutters and carpets. I’ve really worked hard to try and keep the property nice and fresh.

A lot of the one bedroom houses I was seeing at the time didn’t have either garages or gardens; to me that was one of the big selling points here.
