From Helensburgh proceed west along the A814 passing through Rhu and Shandon. At the first roundabout take the last exit and head up the hill, follow the signs for Coulport at the next 2 roundabouts. Around 4 miles later you reach a crossroads just after the brow of a hill where
you turn left and follow the signs for Cove. Head down the hill to the Loch side and left along the shore for around a mile and a half. Look out for lamppost 119 where you turn left into the gateposts Bellcairn House, proceed to the very end of the private road, through the gates to the Coachhouse and turn right up the hill to Bellcairn Cottage.
