The CUE building, Centre for Understanding the Environment, can be found in the Horniman Museum. Opened in 1996, the building houses the library and education centre and was constructed from sustainable materials, a grass roof and uses passive ventilation, which uses natural movement of air to maintain the environment.

Transport

Locals have welcomed the arrival of the East London Lien extension with its new train service in Forest Hill that offers frequent, direct over ground services which stop at Canada Water in 13 minutes, providing links to the City. Overland trains also run to London Bridge in 14 minutes.

Local bus routes includes the 122 (to Crystal Palace), the 176 (to Tottenham Court Road – this is a 24hour route) and the 185 (to Victoria).
