Donaghadee is a residential community in County Down, Northern Ireland. It lies on the upper east shore of the Ards Peninsula, around 18 miles east of Belfast and around six miles south east of Bangor. It is in the common area of Donaghadee and the chronicled barony of Ards Lower.
It had a populace of 6,470 individuals in the 2001 Census. There are a few pubs in the town, including Grace Neill's, opened in 1611 as the "Ruler's Arms", and which claims to be the most established bar in all of Ireland, a record, notwithstanding, held via Sean's Bar in Athlone.
