Property description
THE PROPERTY Number 84 Hampton Street is a traditional double fronted natural stone detached family house understood to date back some 200 years, and with extremely versatile, well-appointed accommodation that has been recently updated by the current owners.
The accommodation briefly consists of re-built entrance porch with porcelain tiles and under floor heating into attractive sitting/dining room complete with log burner in the feature fireplace and fitted cupboards to either side. The adjacent lounge also has a log burner in its feature fireplace and attractive oak stripped floor. Across the rear of the house is a handsome bespoke oak fitted kitchen with porcelain tiles having under floor heating and comprising an excellent range of base cupboards and drawers with matching wall cupboards, tall larder cupboard, integrated dishwasher and Rangemaster style double oven with gas hob, electric grill and cooker hood above, and space for tall fridge. The granite work surfaces are arranged in an ideal 'U' shape with a view from the sink down the long landscaped garden. Adjacent to the kitchen there is a useful utility room/pantry, and also a cloakroom with a white suite of low level WC and wash hand basin. Under the lounge is a very useful workshop/dry cellar with double bowl stainless steel sink unit and a recently installed Glow Worm gas fired central heating boiler and pressurised hot water system incorporating an insulated cylinder.
At first floor level there is a window on the landing to the rear with views down the garden, and doors to two bedrooms, a family shower room and attractive family bathroom with roll top bath. Another staircase then leads up to the top floor with two more double bedrooms and a second luxury shower room. The master bedroom at this level has two double oak fitted wardrobes whilst across the landing the second bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and adjacent chest of drawers, exposed beams and two windows to the front.
Part of the recent renovations of the house include superb hardwood double glazed replacement windows with Colonial style shutters. We have been advised by the owners that planning permission has been granted for a garden room behind the attached garage to the rear of the house and the superb rear garden is about 230' long and arranged to many different seating areas, an ornamental pond and very attractive flower and shrub borders and specimen trees. From the back of the house you can see down the length of the garden and beyond to fields in the distance.
