Petersfield is a business/Market town and common ward in the East Hampshire area of Hampshire, England. It is 17 miles north of Portsmouth, through the A3 street. The town has its own particular track station on the Portsmouth Direct Line, the mainline rail connection interfacing Portsmouth and London. Arranged on the northern inclines of the South Downs, Petersfield lies completely inside the South Downs National Park.[2]

The town is on the intersection of decently utilized north–south (previously the A3 street which now sidesteps the town) and east–west courses (today the A272 street) and it became as a mentor stop on the Portsmouth to London course.
