In more detail ....
This gorgeous family home has a really lovely atmosphere and is full of warmth and charm with some period style. The house has a welcoming light filled hallway with original beautiful stained glass leaded light windows. A turning staircase with exposed wooden handrail leads to the first floor. Original painted doors lead to a spacious sitting room and dining room to the front aspect. Each of these rooms has an open solid fuel fireplace with attractive double glazed bay windows. The sitting room has a picture rail and lovely characterful exposed floorboards. An additional and useful reception room is located adjacent to the kitchen. This room is currently used as a study and an informal area for dining but it could be utilised as a play room or family room. There is a recess in the chimney breast housing a floor standing boiler and there is a bespoke recessed cupboard to one side. Two double glazed windows look over the side aspect. The kitchen/breakfast room has stunning views across the wonderful rear garden. It has a good range of wall and base cupboards with an integrated 4 ring Stoves electric hob and double electric oven. The adjoining utility is a really useful additional room and provides access to the rear garden. Upstairs there are 4 gorgeous double bedrooms and each room has its own individual style. The family bath/shower room offers a modern white suite with a panelled bath with Mira shower over and a pedestal wash hand basin. The walls are fully tiled and there is a ladder style towel rail. The wc is located separately. What the owner likes.....
We really love this house as it has been a very happy family home. We really enjoy the garden which is a great place to entertain friends and family in the summer. In winter the house is cosy and looks lovely with open fires, especially at Christmas time. The bedrooms offer so much space and although 5 of us live here we all feel that we each have plenty of individual space to enjoy. We also love the fact that we are so close to the town and the beach and our teenage children can catch the bus or walk to all the local amenities.
Bear in mind ...
This beautiful home also offers a large level southerly aspect landscaped rear garden which is bathed in sunshine all day and evening. It has an area at the bottom of the garden which would be ideal as a vegetable and fruit garden. This immaculately tended space is mainly laid to lawn with bedding areas packed with an array of perennial planting and specimen shrubs, trees and bulbs including roses, laburnum, pear tree, damson, camellia, tulips, lupins, pansies, fuschias and forsythia to name but a few. There is a patio area with ample room for a table and chairs to enjoy summer BBQs and al fresco dining. The block paviour drive to the front of the house was completed in November 2014 and offers excellent off road parking for 2-3 vehicles. An up and over door allows access to a covered car port which also has light and power. In December 2012 the house was upgraded with loft and cavity wall insulation and in 2011 and 2012 all the windows were replaced (apart from the kitchen and utility) with high specification double glazed PVCu windows.
