Property description

Westbourne is a traditional West Sussex village. White walled thatched and tiled cottages nestle around a pretty village square. Two friendly pubs provide a welcoming environment and a choice of restaurants and take always enable a relaxed lifestyle (if you don’t feel like cooking or entertaining at home).

Wonderful paths and lanes take you to the South Downs National park in one direction or the amazing coastline in the other and can be explored on foot, horseback, or on two or four wheels with equal ease. Trains connect from Emsworth, the nearby town, to the whole of the South including London, the city of Portsmouth (with its iconic spinnaker tower and Gunwharf shopping) and also the beautiful city of Chichester.

On returning home this characterful cottage will not disappoint. A relaxed/ informal interior makes chatting/ cooking a social function and the pretty rear garden creates a fantastic outside space for the evening BBQ or lazy afternoon soaking up the sun.

With horse fields to the rear and sheep grazing to the front, pull open the curtains each morning to a country view. With the sound of horses hooves, birdsongs and the occasional bleat you could be miles away from the stresses of life.

An ideal buy to let, second home or property to downsize in to.

The location and character of the cottage will not disappoint and we would strongly advise an early viewing.

What the Owner says:

I loved this cottage as soon as I walked in.
The country lane and the fields to the rear and to the front make it feel like a real country retreat and its elevated position allows me to enjoy the view even from the ground floor. It is a very sociable house as I can entertain and cook at the same time and the quirky interior is lovely. The village is really friendly with most people having the time to say hello and have a chat and the country all around is a gem with great walks leading straight out from the village towards the coast and also the South Downs National Park.
I am only moving due to a happy change in my personal circumstances but do not wish to move too far and will really miss my lovely home but hope that the next owner loves it as much as I do.
